We are counting down the days until the documentary on Krazy Karl Lagerfeld opens here in New York (only 19 days to go!), and now we're even more excited, since it seems like Karl and the director ended up hating one another by the end of the project. Yay! Says filmmaker Rodolphe Marconi, "I was sure there was a real human behind" the insane, anorexic, narcissistic facade. And on whether he thinks his project was a success, Marconi says, "I have the feeling I know him now ... though in truth, you never really know anyone." And what sayeth Karl? "[It] ended up annoying me." God bless him. [IHT]
Do you guys have multi-regional DVDs? And you like Karl? If so, I heartily recommend you buy the DVD "Signé Chanel" from Amazon.fr. It's made by the same Frenchies currently stalking Anna Wintour, but here they got full-on access into Chanel and how a collection is made. So it follows Karl and his no-nonsense seamstresses, who are artists in their own right.
