Watch NBC Cannibalize Itself in SNL’s Sound of Music Cold Open

Kristen Wiig made a surprise appearance on SNL‘s cold open in what must have been a conscious effort on the part of NBC to stamp out all the The Sound of Music ridicule by spoofing all the spoof out of it. It seems to have worked, though I really think we’re still missing an angle. Maybe a naked appearance from Eric Northman? He can keep his junk tastefully hidden behind all the hideous fake trees from the Bavarian forest set, and then, just as Stephen Moyer strains for a high note, bite him with vampire fangs on live television.
