Watch Lana Del Rey Debut New Song 'Cherry' From Her Forthcoming Album

Latest

Lana Del Rey debuted another perfectly bored yet lush summer song at the KROQ Weenie Roast Y Fiesta in LA on Saturday. The event also marked the first live performance of her hit “Lust for Life,” unfortunately without The Weeknd to back her up.

Del Rey first teased her new song, “Cherry,” which will appear on her forthcoming album Lust for Life (release date still TBA,) on her Instagram account on Thursday to a dance routine so lazy it’s mesmerizing.

As always with a new song from Lana, it’s hard for me to discern every word immediately, so floaty and stretched is each line, but the chorus is quite effective and goes something like: “I fall to pieces when I’m with you [something something] cherries and wine, rosemary and thyme.” Although my favorite part of this particular recording is probably the piercing shriek of pure adulation we get about a minute in. Enjoy!
