Want to Dress Like You Live in Panem? Capitol Couture Is Here!

Latest

Ready to wrap yourself in human baby skin that’s been dyed neon pink and bedazzled with real rubies? Well then Capitol Couture is for you! The 16-piece collection draws its inspiration from The Hunger Games universe, and was created by the films’ costume designer Trish Summerville.

Net-a-Porter’s Fashion Director Holli Rogers on the collaboration with Panem’s elite:

“When we were approached by Lionsgate [the film’s production company] to offer the collection by Trish Summerville to our customers exclusively, we jumped at the chance. Our customers take their style cues from myriad sources, from the latest runway shows and street trends to TV and film. Fashion plays an important role in The Hunger Games series and is especially prevalent in Catching Fire, and fans of the franchise will see the film reference in the collection. This is also brilliant fashion in its own right, and we’re delighted to provide our customers with the chance to purchase limited-edition pieces designed by one of the most original costume designers in the industry today.”

The collections will be unveiled on November 22, and there’s no word yet on the prices. (However, I’d start saving high-value dead squirrels for trading now if I were you.)
