Vogue Is 'Contractually Obligated' to Let Beyonce Do Whatever She Wants For Her September Cover

CelebritiesDirt Bag

According to a report in HuffPo, Beyoncé will be on the cover of Vogue’s upcoming September issue (that’s the big, important one), which is rumored to be Anna Wintour’s last. But we have known this, or at least those of us who read Celebitchy have. The real story this week is that Beyoncé is “contractually obligated” to have full creative control over her cover—from the styling to its photographer.

Per Huffpo, Beyoncé “hired the first black photographer to shoot a cover in the publication’s 126-year history.” Incredible news, until you start squinting at the details. 126 years?! One hundred? And twenty!??! Six?????!!!!! Years!!!!!!!!??????????? (Thirty of those were overseen by Wintour, by the way.) The photographer’s name is Tyler Mitchell, and he’s just 23 years old.

Said a source:

The reason a 23-year-old black photographer is photographing Beyoncé for the cover of Vogue is because Beyoncé used her power and influence to get him that assignment.

I’m not sure if I feel comfortable with someone who isn’t Anne Geddes For Adults shooting a Vogue cover…but I suppose I’ll trust Beyoncé’s judgment here.

A quick Demi Lovato update, per TMZ:

Sources with firsthand knowledge tell us the people in contact with her have not even broached the subject of rehab, because she’s still not out of the woods after her overdose a week ago.

More here.

I don’t want to be rude but I need these two to either break up or move to another planet. I hear there’s liquid water on Mars now!
