It's the end of an era: After being with the show since 2003, and working for 18 seasons, Noted Fashion Photographer Nigel Barker, runway expert J. Alexander and creative director Jay Manuel have been let go from America's Next Top Model.

Let's have a moment of silence and a Miss J gif, shall we?

Factoids: Miss J lives in Paris, has a 10-year-old son, speaks French, is about 53 years old, and though he is the seventh of 10 children, six of his siblings have died.

Apparently there are "big changes" in store for the show, and the new judges may be style bloggers. Think designer-label obsessed fur enthustaist Bryan Boy. No, really. BryanBoy.

In a statement, executive producer Ken Mok says:

Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander have been an integral part of the ‘America's Next Top Model' brand and they helped turn this show into the household name it is today. They have been amazing assets to the show and will always be a part of the ‘Top Model' family. We will continue to actively work with each of them on future projects.

Okay, this will be the impetus for me to finally give up on ANTM. Goodness knows, this season has been boring as hell, and I find the latest addition, Kelly Cutrone, kind of insufferable. She's just pointlessly bitchy and while I don't think you have to look like a model to talk about models, her personal style seems so blah and dowdy, I'm surprised she's gotten where she is. Tyra kept on replacing that seat even though I really liked several of the judges a lot more than I like Tyra - Twiggy, Paulina Porizkova, Andre Leon Talley.

But getting rid of Nigel, Mr. J and Miss J is the final straw. I'm a fan of all three (maybe Jay Manuel the least but even he was way better than Miss T at faking empathy and doling out tough love), and I just don't want to watch a show that has already become honestly pretty dull if they aren't on it.

I've never been a Tyra hater; I actually liked her at first and then when it got clearer and clearer that she has an ego the size of...something really big, I just started finding her amusing in her ridiculousness. But this injustice has turned me against her for good.

I would doubt my ability to really turn my back on ANTM (middling-bad reality TV is my crack), but I was able to give up my "Survivor" habit a couple of seasons back, and I'd watched that since the beginning.
