Tyra Banks Kinda Fired Herself From FABLife, Her Daytime Talk Show

Latest

Tyra Banks has (mostly) sashayed away from her daytime talk show FABLife after just three months on air. Moving forward, she’ll be more of a special guest boss producer, like Barbara Walters in the last (good) season of The View, RIP.

According to a statement released to The Hollywood Reporter, Banks felt it was time to focus on her cosmetics line and is pulling back significantly from FABLife’s shooting schedule.

“This is a very difficult decision, but necessary,” she said in the statement. “I will be devoting more time to my new, growing cosmetics company, TYRA Beauty, which is expanding faster than anticipated, as well as overseeing my company’s other entertainment ventures. I will however continue to support the growth and success of FABLife and greatly admire my fellow co-hosts and the talented production team behind the show.”

According to Deadline, Banks will stop by the show two to three times a week until the year’s end, and then as a special guest through the season’s end in 2016, joining remaining hosts Chrissy Teigen, fashion editor Joe Zee, interior designer Lauren Makk and YouTube star Leah Ashley. Banks is reportedly continuing her behind-the-scenes producer duties for FABLife, along with her role on America’s Next Top Model, which is currently finishing its 12th year and final season.

Hopefully Chrissy and the gang will at least get some free mascara and foundation from their former co-host?
