In the midst of a lot of bad, bad news, here’s something positive. Tracy Morgan stepped out in public for the first time since the car accident which left him critically injured and killed one man.
In June, Morgan’s limo bus was struck by a WalMart truck reportedly because the driver of the truck was dozing behind the wheel. The comedian’s friend, James McNair, was killed in the crash. Morgan sustained multiple injuries including a
broken leg, broken femur, broken nose, and broken ribs. He spent 10 days in ICU and was later moved to his home to undergo physical therapy. On Wednesday, in New Jersey, he was spotted outside his home, walking with the aid of a a walker. Via TMZ:
Tracy made a rare public appearance outside a NJ post office on Wednesday … moving slowly and gingerly with the help of a walker. His fiancée, Megan Wollover was nearby for support.
As for how his recovery is going … a determined Tracy told the camera guy, “I’m fighting every day.”
According to US Weekly, Morgan’s attorney Benedict Morelli recently met with Walmart attorneys in reference to the ongoing lawsuit over the accident.
“Mr. Morgan is a fighter,” Morelli told reporters afterwards. “He’s fighting to get better. If there’s a chance to be back to the Tracy Morgan he once was, he is going to try to do that. We just don’t know. But is he doing much better? He’s doing better.”
