Tour de France officials have revealed that they've "discussed" adding an equivalent women's event to the yearly biking race, reports Bloomberg. This news comes a few weeks after a group of competitive female cyclists started a petition, which now has almost 70,000 signatures.

I'm a little frightened about how they will decide to incorporate a women's event. I can see it going horribly wrong, like them only allowing women on the time trials but not the hills, or only in the more heavily populated legs near cities. Or worse, only as an exhibition on the last day through Paris. Like a kiddie version of the Tour.

So many ways to insult people!
