This post from Reappropriate shows that Asian Americans have the highest long-term unemployment rate, and will thus be detrimentally affected by proposed cuts to long-term unemployment benefits. Really puts a dent in that Model Minority myth, huh?
I could swear I read somewhere, recently, that Asians have a high rate of getting into great schools and getting into medicine, but they stall in management. Perhaps they don't get insulated enough into their organizations to survive in tough economic times.
This may, of course, be due to racism. That seems extremely likely.
