This Britney Spears Announcement Is Disastrous and Amazing

The Britney Spears comeback continues to move forward at a breakneck pace — though maybe “breakneck” isn’t the best word for it. “Dragging”? Is “dragging pace” more accurate? I don’t know! Either way, it’s moving, baby, and nothing can stop it now.

This morning, Britney made a big announcement on GMA by flying out to the middle of the desert in Nevada to tell a crowd of fans that she’s about to kick off a two-year residency in Las Vegas. She then performed zero songs and never took off her sunglasses even though it was pitch black outside.

Don’t get me wrong. I really love this interview, mostly because everything is just slightly wrong.
