The Zooey Deschanel Dress Collection Looks Exactly Like It Should

Latest

If Zooey Deschanel had a uniform, it would consist of adorable, vaguely retro A-line fit and flare dresses. And that’s just what her capsule collection — designed in collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger — looks like.

As WWD reports, the collection — called To Tommy, From Zooey — will hit Macy’s stores in April. The palette is mostly red, white and blue; the silhouettes are Americana country club “sporty” — perfect for yachting or post-tennis lemonade. There are 16 looks, and Hilfiger and Deschanel found that they had a lot in common, in terms of style inspiration.

The overall aesthetic merges Mod with nautical, or “Modical” as Deschanel, who named each dress after a friend, described it.

“I am a fashion fanatic, and I am always looking for new ways to incorporate vintage, feminine pieces into my own wardrobe,” she said. “Tommy and I share many of the same inspirations — old-school music, classic films and old Hollywood icons — and his guidance during the design process helped to put a really unique twist on each piece.”

The dresses will be priced between $98 and $199; bangs and eyelashes are not included.
