The unemployment rate for adult women has reached its lowest point in six years, according to a new analysis from the National Women's Law Center. But wages are still stagnant, and a third of the job-growth for women was in low wage industries: retail, hospitality, temporary jobs, home health care, and nursing and residential care facilities.
Just kidding. Couldn't resist. This is great news but I find that I always have to do the mental math when I read a number like "lowest point in x years" to see if this means we are just now back to pre-recession numbers or if we're finally breaking some new ground! (The mental math being "how long ago was 2009?")
