The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity — formerly called the International Advertising Festival — has 70 women serving on juries, judging ads and commercials. Sounds good until you realize that there are 248 men who are jurors. So women are just 22%. As Steve Hall at AdRants points out, upwards of 70% of household spending in controlled by women: "it would seem all that more important to have women included in the judging of work that is developed to reach them."
