Growing up, I ran cross country and my dad mowed me a path to run through a field that we had allowed to grow back into natural prairie. One spring/summer, there was a family of foxes that lived in that section of our property, and about one of every three times I'd run, one of the foxes (sometimes a grown up fox, sometimes a baby) would hop onto the path about 10 feet in front of me and just TEAR up ahead before diving into the weeds again. It's like they were playing with me or practicing running away from big scary predators.
