In "Cover Lies," Jezebel assistant/intern Maria and Cheryl rewrite the newsstand's magazine covers to better reflect the stories within.
Whoa, sometimes writing cover lines in the allotted space is tough. The worst one on the new issue of Marie Claire was "What Makes Men Propose." We could barely find it! Not because Marie Claire doesn't draw attention to its cover stories in the table of contents, but because when we flipped to the story, we kept thinking we'd missed it! In truth we had noooooo idea why writer Rodger Cambria proposed to his live-in girlfriend when their relationship was clearly so tedious, codependent and marriage-esque already, until we flipped the page and saw their picture.
