Teen Accidentally Kills Himself While Taking a Selfie With a Loaded Gun

A Houston teen fatally shot himself while taking a selfie with a gun. Sigh.

Deleon Alonso Smith, according to local news station KPRC, was fiddling with the loaded weapon when it went off on Tuesday. Smith was 19 years old, is survived by two children and was supposed to begin classes at a local community college this week.

“It’s the worst feeling in my life,” the teen’s uncle, Eric Douglas, told the station.

Smith’s cousin was in apartment with Smith but in another room when the gun went off. He told police the pair had found the gun earlier that day.
