T.I. Confirms That Iggy Azalea Is Still His 'Partner,' Aww

Latest

Question for the ages: Are T.I. and Iggy Azalea still tight with each other? Over the past week, the two have been talking it out in public by not talking with each other, which is the best way to deal with conflict.

Luckily, no one wants to get to the bottom of this more than T.I. and Iggy. T.I. originally distanced himself from Iggy—who’s signed to his record label Grand Hustle—telling New York radio station Hot 97 that it all started after Q-Tip gave Iggy a hip-hop tutorial. T.I. says:

“…I kind of had smoothed it over, like okay, ‘What is really meant to be said here is…’ Everything was cool, and then they [Iggy’s team] kind of came back and undid what I had just [accomplished]. I’ma be all the way real, I’m a loyal partner. If I rock with you I’m gon’ rock with you…I really do feel that they just needed a little more time to adjust, which I feel they can do. They have the talent, they have the charisma.”

In response, Iggy resorted to Twitter, explaining that radio isn’t the right medium to air grievances (Reminder: She did this on Twitter): “Personally, i dont think the radio is the place to talk about your personal issues with someone thats part of your team…” She also tweeted: “Im sure tip will publicly clarify what he meant when he feels he has the right platform to do so and other than that, im chillin.”

Well, here’s T.I. publicly clarifying it. He says, via AP, “That’s still my partner. Her life has taken her in a different direction. My life is still as it was before. But Iggy is doing what she feels makes Iggy happy. That’s what she should do. We’re focused on making the next Iggy record and dodge the same adversities we faced last time.”

Okay, you two, time for an awkward embrace.
