Supermodel Suspected Married Billionaire Boyfriend Of Cheating; Tilda Launches Celebrity Fragrance
Latest- Apparently Naomi Campbell — who just weeks ago was boasting of having mastered her volatile temper — assaulted her chauffeur because he is also chauffeurs her boyfriend, Vladimir Doronin, and he refused to tell her if Doronin was cheating. [NYPost]
- At least 21 workers were killed and 50 were injured in a fire that destroyed a garment factory in Bangladesh. The staff was working overnight to fill orders for H&M and other retailers when the blaze ignited; many were trapped inside. Garment workers often labor under unsafe conditions, and there are unconfirmed reports that this factory lacked fire safety equipment. Despite the fact there was another fire there last August, H&M found no “serious” violations when it visited in October. The company said, “In general we have been satisfied with Garib & Garib’s way of working with our code of conduct. As far as we know this terrible accident was not caused by poor working conditions or safety measures.” [Independent]
- Tilda Swinton has a perfume. It’s called Like This, because, as Swinton writes on the website, “What does your perfume smell like? Like this. What does your fragrance feel like? Like this.” [Etat Libre D’orange]
- Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Refaeli may have gotten back together, but they are not engaged. Refaeli explained, in Hebrew, to an Israeli journalist that the ring she’s been wearing on that finger was made by a friend of hers, and won’t fit on any other. [E]
- Yves Saint Laurent will be the subject of a major retrospective exhibition at the Petit Palais in Paris this year. Pierre Bergé, his surviving partner, says his dream would have been to exhibit both Saint Laurent’s iconic fashions, and the art collection the couple amassed during their life together. “The slogan would have been: ‘Where the money comes from, where the money goes.'” The art collection was sold at auction last year, but more than 300 of Saint Laurent’s creations will still be displayed. - Taking Prada‘s lead in casting, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Alessandra Ambrosio, Izabel Goulart and Karolina Kurkova, who all sometimes model for Victoria’s Secret, plus non-VS ladies Jessica Stam, Angela Lindvall, Carmen Kass, Coco Rocha and Natasha Poly, are set to walk in Giles show today in Paris. - Hairstylist Amoy Pitters, who has worked with Iman and Naomi Campbell, says the top mistakes women of color make with their tresses are: “Over-processing! Relaxers and color are damaging to hair health; it’s even worse when the processes are done together. Also, trying to perm their hair at home can be a big mistake.
