Last night, Mexican Presidential candidates engaged in a serious debate about serious issues that will likely face the country's next leader. But lest we forget that politics in every country are riddled with some serious sexism, the debate was kicked off by a woman in a cleavage bearing dress Vanna White-ing around with a bowl full of numbers that the candidates drew from in order to decide who went first. Ay caramba.

Julia Orayen, part time model and former Playboy playmate, was the star of last night's Mexican Presidential debate, even though she's not running for any sort of office and didn't speak a single word. She appeared briefly before the proceedings in a skintight ensemble. And everyone at the debate behaved like respectful adults and people paid attention to the substance of the debate rather than the T&A onscreen.

Ha! Just kidding! It was actually the opposite of that.

According to the New York Daily News, Orayen's sexy decoration act stone the show last night. Candidates' eyes basically turned to hearts and shot out of their heads, horny wolf in a Tex Avery cartoon-style, and audience members' tongues rolled out of their mouths, extending for several yards. Former NYU professor and current Presidential candidate Jorge Castaneda Tweeted, "The best was the girl in white with the cleavage at the beginning," and following the proceedings, Julia Orayen's name trended on Twitter for almost 24 hours. Everyone acted like they'd never seen a woman in a tight white dress before.

Debate organizers say that Orayen's appearance was due to a wayward production assistant who only asked her to wear a long, white dress for the event, and that Orayen picked the dress from her own personal closet. She says, "It was my only choice for a long dress. I didn't think it would reveal as much or cause this much scandal. I learned I like myself better when I'm covered up."

Oh, Jesus. It's a miracle that men are able to run the world at all, what with the ease at which they're distracted by boobies.

Has anyone seen Sabado Gigante? If you have cable, you probably haven't. I try to practice my Espanol by watching that and the soaps (the soaps are easier b/c they speak slower for dramatic effect). Well, anyway, there are always these older creeper dudes on there along with a half dozen or so young women dancing around in teensy bikinis. The men are fully clothed. This always gets my dander up and I start ranting, so it has been banned from my house.
