Selita Ebanks Is a Mom and Whoopi's a Nosy Neighbor In Nicki Minaj's Family Sitcom

Nicki Minaj revealed the cast for her ABC Family sitcom on Instagram Friday, the new place for sending out press releases. Model Selita Ebanks, along with a few unfamiliar faces, make up the leads.

The story is based on Nicki’s upbringing as the child of a Trinidadian immigrant raised in Queens. The adorable young actress playing Nicki is Ariana Neal, who’s appeared in Fruitvale Station and Get Hard—watch video of her covering Bruno Mars’ “Grenade” here.

Ebanks will play Nicki’s mom on the show, which means she’ll have an accent? But the best part of this casting is Whoopi Goldberg in a cameo as Nicki’s (probably nosy, chatty) neighbor Martha.
