Ryan Phillippe was on Larry King Now last night ostensibly to promote his new show, Secrets and Lies, but King inevitably asked him about his divorce from Reese Witherspoon. On why it didn't work out, Phillippe said, "I think more of the problem was age. When we got together we were so young."

He added that the two continue to amicably co-parent and are "very much" still friends. He also spoke about his so-called "bad boy" image and parenting his teenage daughter Ava, now 15-years-old.

Via Us Weekly:

"I grew up in a very, very female household so I have a real sensitivity with that connection with [Ava] because of that," he said. "I don't think she'll suffer fools. She's going to have high standards."
