Ryan Gosling's Accent Is An Inexplicable Gift That Keeps On Giving

For a guy who grew up in Canada and later moved to Florida, we’ve never quite been able to pinpoint what, exactly, Ryan Gosling’s accent is supposed to sound like. Obviously, it sounds generally like sex, but it always sounds slightly different. What gives?

Gosling admitted to W magazine that he’s not 100% sure what his accent is, either, and he kind of just…fakes it:

“As a kid I decided that a Canadian accent doesn’t sound tough. I thought guys should sound like Marlon Brando. So now I have a phony accent that I can’t shake, so it’s not phony anymore.”
