Roman Polanski will walk out of his Swiss prison cell any day now on a $4.5 million bail. So what does house arrest mean for a man with a chalet in Gstaad? According to press reports, party at Polanski's!

Polanski, who faces a fresh round of charges related to his rape of a 13-year-old girl and his 31-year status as a fugitive from justice, will be fitted with an electric bracelet. But once at home, he is, in the words of one official, "free to determine his daily schedule." Also, he can thank all those celebrities who supported his release with a chic gathering. Per The Los Angeles Times:

"A Swiss justice officials was quoted by AFP and Swiss news media as saying Polanski would be allowed to make unlimited phone calls and have full access to e-mail and the Internet. Although he cannot leave his house, he can invite friends over and throw parties at the tony chalet in the ski resort of Gstaad."

Local officials are worried about the press crowding the surrounding roads of the tony resort town and are threatened to blockade them, so it's possible we won't hear of these soirees, should they take place. On the other hand, this is the paparazzi we're talking about.
