What a breath of fresh air Givenchy's Fall 2007 couture collection is! Sticking to a monochrome palette working from light to dark to light again, his garments seem to float, looking like nothing more than post-sunrise dappled yellow skies and bits of fog hanging mid-air and cloud filaments a-spinning. Givenchy, who frequently dressed both Audrey Hepburn and Jackie Kennedy back in their respective glory days, hasn't lost his magic touch for creating ensembles that insist on class, taste, beauty and... a little mischief.
