In Myrtle Creek, Oregon, a 3-year-old boy and PUBLIC NUISANCE recently endangered the lives of his neighbors when he accidentally knocked the Jeep he was playing in out of park and drove it into the side of a house. The child's reaction after this DEPRAVED act of violence and recklessness? To go home and watch cartoons, NOT A CARE IN THE WORLD.
From the police report:
"The 911 caller witnessed the crash and saw the child run from the Jeep wearing only a diaper. The child ran into his home. …I was able to make contact, where I found the child lying on the couch watching cartoons as if nothing had ever happened."
TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY, BABY.
The only other person home at the time of the crash was the boy's 22-year-old babysitter/relative who was taking a nap. Disturbingly, police had actually spotted the toddler playing in the car earlier that day and warned the babysitter to keep an eye on him. She has since been issued a citation for "failing to supervise a child." (If you need another reason as to why you shouldn't leave a 3-year-old entirely unsupervised, here you go.)
Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident.
