Ramona Singer Pinot Grigio Will Make You Feel Like Ramona Singer

The Real Housewives of New York City Ramona Singer has recently come released her second vintage, a 2011 pinot grigio, and apparently, it's paired really well for day drinking. In a piece about the rise in popularity of pinot grigio—which has helped spawn celebrity brands like Singer's and Drew Barrymore's—The Daily Beast spoke with the Turtle Time enthusiast about her wine, and reviewed the product as well. In case you were wondering, it's delicious! Apparently Ramona's product goes down "dangerously fast. So fast they could replace the Gatorade in coolers at kids' soccer games with ice cold '11 Ramona and no one would notice until it was way too late."

"Sommeliers that taste my wine are very impressed," says Singer. "You should see how they raise their eyebrows." And how did she decide on the name for her wine? "Ramona is melodic. It's not like my name is Wendy."

Ramona isn't the first or last of the Real Housewives to get into the booze biz. (Bethenny Frankel has found multimillion dollar success with Skinnygirl cocktails, Teresa Giudice put her own image on her bottles of Fabellini, and Tamra Barney and Vicki Gunvulson founded Wine by Wives, a subscription service "celebrity wine club.") But for Ramona, moving into the wine-selling business seemed seamless and natural. Due to her antics on TV and her often-expressed love of wine Ramona Singer is almost synonymous with pinot grigio. You might feel guiltless drinking a Skinnygirl, or campy drinking a Fabellini, but Ramona Singer Pinot Grigio—which the reality star drinks frequently on her show—"gives the mere day drinkers among us an opportunity to get closer to our favorite stars, a sparkly little transubstantiative experience of fame."
