Ralkina Jones, 37, Dies in Cleveland Jail Cell

Ralkina Jones, a 37-year-old Cleveland woman, died in a Cleveland Heights jail cell on Sunday, July 26. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office has yet to determine the cause of death.

Jones’ family tells local news outlets that she was arrested on Friday, July 24 after getting into an argument with her husband at his place of work. No other information has been released. Her autopsy is scheduled for today.

Jones’ passing follows in the wake of the suspicious death of Sandra Bland, the #BlackLivesMatter activist who died in policy custody earlier this month.
