Saturday night, Queen Latifah headlined the 29th Annual Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride Festival, singing her own hits like "U.N.I.T.Y." and "Ladies First" as well as classics like Roy Ayers' "Everybody Loves The Sunshine."

In case you were wondering, the singer/actress/producer/Cover Girl spokesmodel with her own HSN clothing line did not utter the words "I am a lesbian." According to a reports, the Queen encouraged those in the crowd to "let their inner light shine in the world" and "to conquer hate with love." She also said, "I've been waiting to do this for a long time," and stated she was proud to be among "her people."

Queen Latifah also sang a song with the chorus, "Have mercy on me."
