President Obama Wishes You A Happy 'Women's Equality Day'

President Obama, like every president since 1971, has issued a proclamation declaring today “Women’s Equality Day.” The day marks the 91st anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote, and according to Obama it’s a day to, “celebrate the achievements of women and recommit ourselves to the goal of gender equality in this country.”

So, did President Obama get us anything? Let’s see: two women appointed to the Supreme Court, free birth control, and a slew of other pro-lady policies. We were hoping for a t-shirt with some kind of ironic slogan, but that’ll do.
