President Obama Will Probs Choose John Kerry To Be Next Secretary of State

Yesterday's ousting of Secretary of State frontrunner Susan Rice, after Republican senators argued that she'd mismanaged the attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, meant that POTUS' alleged favorite candidate to succeed Hillary Clinton was no longer an option.

A White House source has leaked to Michael Sneed, a columnist at the Chicago Sun-Times, that Obama has settled on John Kerry (who was, incidentally, Clinton's own pick for the job).

Although this news hasn't been officially confirmed yet, the announcement is supposedly looming in the next few weeks. Also mentioned: Kerry's Massachusetts Senate seat might be filled via a "special election" featuring Republican Scott Brown as one of the candidates after losing his seat to Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass).
