[Scott Ellington, Prosecuting Attorney for the Second Judicial District] says the patient became suspicious after the examination that she may have been photographed and reported her concern to the Paragould Police Department. Paragould police requested assistance from the Arkansas State Police, which took over the investigation and executed a search warrant and found evidence corroborating the patient’s complaint.

Dr. Becton was interviewed in 2008 for a story on women who put off education and careers for motherhood on KAIT 8. He operates out of a private practice, the Becton Women’s Clinic. The clinic and the Arkansas Medical Board were notified of the allegations against Dr. Becton. Police have not confirmed if there are more victims.
