Playboy Mansion's Whirlpool Was Sexy Breeding Ground For Sexy Bacteria

Health officials have been investigating why a number of people came down with a respiratory infection at a digital media convention at the Playboy Mansion in February, and now they’ve identified legionella bacteria in a whirlpool spa. More than a quarter of those contacted said they came down with a fever and at least one other symptom, including headache, cough, shortness of breath, or aches. Officials say they haven’t determined if the bacteria, which can cause Legionnaires’ disease, was what caused the infections, as three attendees also tested positive for H1N1 flu. Either way, this serves as a reminder that you probably don’t want whatever is lurking in the hot tub at the Playboy Mansion.
