Oprah to Do the Damn Thing and March in Selma on Sunday

Lot’s of people are taking Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday as an opportunity to hit the slopes or save 60% off on hotels, airfare and show tickets and go somewhere tropical. But Oprah Winfrey, who starred in and produced the Martin Luther King Jr. biopic, Selma will be marching in the Alabama city to commemorate the late civil rights giant. Actor David Oyelowo who portrays King and the film’s director, Ava DuVernay will also be marching on Sunday.

If you don’t love Oprah as much as you should, go to Selma to get your think on. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Alabama’s only black and democratic representative, Terri Sewell is going to be moderating a panel discussion at Selma High School. And Paramount will be holding two free screenings of the film on Monday.

So, reconsider your MLK Jr. day plans y’all.
