On Thursday, the Oklahoma Senate voted 33-12 to pass a bill that would effectively make all abortions illegal in the state.

The bill had already passed once in the legislature, but had to make its way back to the Senate for approval after the House made some changes to the bill. It appears that when SB 1552 was sent to the House, it only stripped abortion providers of their licenses. Now, the bill states that performing an abortion would be a felony punishable by up to three years in prison.

The measure, which is reportedly the first of its kind, will now go to Gov. Mary Fallin for approval.
