So much for tennis fans being polite. Earlier today, Novak Djokovic beat Rafael Nadal in an epic match to win the Australian Open, which lasted nearly 6 hours—the longest Grand Slam singles final in history. He decided to celebrate by throwing one of his extra shirts up to a fan in the stands, but it didn't quite go as planned. He launched the shirt in the direction of one girl, but another girl reached out and snatched it. A most heart-breaking theft—though whatever twinges of guilt the robber may feel will probably be quickly erased by rubbing the shirt all over her face.
That's definitely a grown woman who snatched the shirt away from that girl. For shame. I was on a school trip in college and we went to a professional hockey game in the Czech Republic. They were launching T-shirts at the crowd. This super douchey guy (long story) who finagled his way on the trip at the last moment ripped a T-shirt out of a child's hands. Luckily, we all guilted him into giving it back to the kid, but the poor child (probably 8 years old) seemed traumatized by this 21-year-old American victoriously snatching his Czech hockey T-shirt.
