No One Cares About Your Stupid Twitter Account

A new study finds that people are using Twitter to fuel their own narcissism and don’t really give a flying fuck about what other people are doing, thinking, or feeling. Hm. How can I make this more about me?

According to Pew Research Center, users of Twitter may update the site daily or several times per day, but only about a third of users actually check to see what other people have posted with a degree of regularity. Roughly the same amount of users check for content posted by others extremely rarely, which is a shame, because the Twitter feeds of Kanye West and delightfully cranky Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen are real treats.

This furthers my theory that most blogs and social media are sort of like embarrassing journals that literally anyone can find.
