Nicki Minaj Has Heard Back from a Few 'Barbie Dreams' Subjects

In a rather charming interview on Monday’s episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Nicki Minaj revealed that she’s heard back from a few of the rappers she roasts in “Barbie Dreams” from her just-released fourth album, Queen. For those who haven’t heard, the song is a raunchy litany of reasons that make various rappers (mostly) unfuckable (“Drake worth a hundred milli, he always buyin’ me shit / But I don’t know if the pussy wet or if he cryin’ and shit”) over the beat of Notorious B.I.G.’s “Just Playing (Dreams).”

Without naming names, Minaj told Colbert that two people on her list approached her about the song. Young Thug, 50 Cent, DJ Khaled, Eminem, Future, and Lil Wayne are just some of the rappers mentioned on the track.

“Only one person so far got a little irritated, but then I explained to him how much I love him, and he understands now,” she said. “And then one person, he was just laughing. He was texting me…it was kinda like a mix between cursing me out and laughing at it, but I just kept putting the crying-face emoji so that I could make things not as bad.”

I bet the latter was Khaled, whose declaration that he won’t eat pussy is mocked by Minaj. He’s been so smug about it that I bet he’s proud that she’s spreading his message.

Minaj also spit a new “Barbie Dreams” section about Colbert:

I might fuck Stephen after the show
He gon’ come back to work with a magical glow
But when you see us, please motherfuckers don’t stare
Just address me as Queen Nicki Colbert

So that’s sweet.

Colbert also asked Minaj about her dedication of “Anaconda” to Joe Biden and Donald Trump at the 2016 Time 100 Gala. “Which of those men likes the bigger butt?” Colbert said she asked the crowd. About two years later, Minaj is assuming the answer is Biden “for obvious reasons.”

“Anytime a white person gets the pass that they can be invited to the cookout, that probably means that they like big butts,” she said. “He’s permanently invited to the cookout because he showed love to our love Obama and they worked so well together. And he also just seems so genuine and I find that genuine men, they like big butts.”

I believe it.
