Nick Jonas Just Loves How Much Older Priyanka Chopra Is Than Him

Like fine wines, certain cheeses, and denim jackets, Nick Jonas knows women get better with age.

A source tells People that the former Jonas Brother member and forever brother of Joe and Kevin doesn’t mind the age difference between him and his fiancée Priyanka Chopra at all. No sir. In fact, not only does he not not mind it; he loves it! From People:

“The age difference is not a big deal to them whatsoever,” a source close to the singer, 25, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “Nick loves dating older women, and if anything it makes Priyanka even more attractive to him.”

Does that quote sound just a little bit off to you? I assume and I believe that Jonas loves Chopra enough to commemorate their love with the holy sacrament of marriage, but the way this source frames their relationship makes it sound like… the age difference is a huuuge entry in Jonas’s pros column of his Dating Priyanka Chopra list? Which would be… insanely rude to Chopra, a literal goddess who’s doing Jonas a huuuge favor by marrying him?? Am I crazy here?

People’s source says that Jonas has “always been very mature for his age” and describes him as “an old soul.” Sure. Why not. But again, this framing makes it sound like Jonas appreciates Chopra because of her age the way he would appreciate Motown songs —which, again, strikes me as rude to an angel who walks among men and a former Miss World (WORLD!!!) winner! Might I suggest that Jonas use his words with a little more care next time. She’s Priyanka Chopra! Come on!
