New Ad Says Drinking Coca Cola Is Part of a 'Healthy Lifestyle'

A new ad for Coca Cola advises drinking the brown flavored bubbly corn syrup water isn’t unhealthy at all — instead, it’s a part of a wholesome, healthy lifestyle like the kind your grandfather enjoyed before he died of lung cancer from all the smoking people did in the 1950’s and 60’s.

The ad, which is airing in the UK, is called “Grandpa (Living a Healthy Lifestyle)” and is set to Tom Jones’ ‘It’s Not Unusual.’ The spot is intended to hearken back to a simpler time when people were happier, before we were aware of all the things that were slowly killing us. You know, back when people drank Coke and called their friends “the fellas.”
