Natalie Portman For Te Casan: Does It Have To Cost So Much To Dress Vegan?

We may earn a commission from links on this page.

Natalie Portman, poster child for Jewish vegan hipster girls everywhere, has designed her first-ever shoe collection under the Te Casan label, making sure that vegan hipster girls of all religions can wear pretty shoes without compromising their culinary beliefs. Sweet, right? Thing is, we were a little blown away by the price — $275 for a pair of pumps? — especially considering there are other vegan shoes on the market. After the jump, we compare Natalie's shoes to the high and the low of the vegan shoe market: Stella McCartney and MooShoes. Whose are pretty? Whose are ugly? And how the fuck can you sell a shoe for $865 when it doesn't, like, even have any leather in it? All of this and more, after the jump.
