MTV Announces Cast for 'Teen Mom 3'

MTV has confirmed the four young women who will comprise the third installment of its Teen Mom franchise, culled from the fourth season of 16 & Pregnant. For the first time in the show’s history a woman of color will be a featured cast member. So who are these girls? Clockwise from top left: Katie Yeager, Alexandria Sekella, Briana Dejesus, and Mackenzie Douthit.

Katie gave birth to a daughter (Molli) on 16 & Pregnant. She is still with the baby daddy, her fiancé who works long hours at a coal mine, which caused problems for the couple. She managed to graduate high school and is studying to become a social worker.

Alex considered giving her baby up for adoption after her mother told her that she wouldn’t be able to live at home if she kept it. She eventually decided on keeping her daughter, whom she named Arabella, and moved in with her boyfriend Matt and his mother. However, Matt became increasingly unreliable and it was revealed that he was a drug addict. He ended up going into rehab, but it seems like he may have relapsed. Alex told In Touch that she works two jobs in order to keep him out of their lives and she doesn’t allow Matt to see his daughter.

Briana‘s boyfriend broke up with her when he found out she was pregnant. Her sister got pregnant around the same time and decided to get an abortion, so their different choices will undoubtedly be compared all season long. She gave birth to a daughter and named her Nova Star.
