More great news for women in Hollywood: A poll of motion picture exhibitors conducted by Quigley Publishing has determined the top 10 box office-earners for 2007 and, for the first time in 24 years, there was nary a lady to be found. Johnny Depp came out on top, followed by Will Smith, George Clooney, Matt Damon, Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe, Tom Cruise, Nicolas Cage, Will Ferrell and Tom Hanks. Hey, at least two of them are black! [UPI]

Not that I don't love the ladies, but I can't think of any female actress strong enough right now to really carry a movie I'd like to see. Besides, let's talk about the yumminess factor of this list: Johnny Depp- check. Will Smith- check. George Clooney- check. Matt Damon- check. Denzel Washington- check. Russell Crowe- check. Tom Cruise- eh, only for about .2 seconds in Top Gun. Nicolas Cage- I'll pass. Will Ferrell- I find him deliciously sexy at the most random times. Tom Hanks- if you're into that. So, of the top 10 leads, 6 of them I would do in the middle of Times Square if necessary, one I would take on a back road with some bud light, and the other 3 have the mass appeal that apparently others love but I don't get. And I totally lost the point of what I was saying, dammit. Too distracted by the sexiness.
