Missouri Man On the Run After Keeping Woman In a Box for Four Months

Latest

A Missouri man named James B. Horn is on the run after keeping his “girlfriend” in a wooden box for four months. ABC 17 reports that 47-year-old registered sex offender Horn has been charged with “kidnapping, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon” for making her “stay in the box when he was not at home, and any other time he wanted her to go there.”

Via Hntrss13: After an argument the two had in January, Horn forced the victim to help him construct the 100” x 48” x 52” box. Once finished, he would hold her at knifepoint when commanding her to go inside.

The victim told police she was allowed to accompany horn outside on occasion, and was let out of the box when he was home to have sex with him. She told police she felt pressured to do so because she was afraid for her safety.

Horn, who’s been missing since the woman escaped last Thursday, “is a registered sex offender in Missouri, and was previously charged in Tennessee for kidnapping and raping a 22-year-old woman.” For those crimes, he was sentenced to four years in prison.

Maybe they’ll keep him locked up a little longer this time.
