Love her. So it's not that.
But I'm So. Damn. Tired. of this endless barrage of weepy women who just can't manage to value themselves enough to realize they deserve whatever it is they're seeking. Do we need another??
What do I prefer? The Good Wife, for example. I cannot tell you how refreshing, empowering and uplifting it is to repeatedly watch a strong woman succeed in life, despite the attempts of those around her to derail that. It's so exciting to watch her verbal sparing with strong men and not see a hint of fear or self doubt. To hear her have conversations with the women around her that are not limited to shoes, bags or body weight. To see the woman I wish I could be onscreen, instead of a dumbed down, more attractive version of what I actually am.
Give me more of that, Mindy Kaling, and I'll follow you anywhere.
