Michigan Republican Won't Resign After Posting ‘Filthy Gay Lifestyle’ Article on Facebook

Michigan Republican National Committeeman Dave Agema refuses to resign after posting an article describing homosexuality as a “filthy lifestyle” on his Facebook because he was just trying to prompt thoughtful discourse, as one does by sharing hate speech that claims most gay people are pedophiles.

We will not link to the article, “Everyone Should Know These Statistics On Homosexuals,” so as to spare you from reading batshittery about the secret homosexual agenda (spoiler: gay people are constantly dying, trying to “prey” on your children and “complaining” about AIDS). But rest assured it contains “facts” like “Depending on the city, 39-59% of homosexuals are infected with intestinal parasites like worms, flukes and amoebae, which is common in filthy third world countries.”

Agema told WWMT Newschannel 3 that he agreed with much of what was said in the article but did want to make it clear that he didn’t actually write it:

“They quoted as what somebody else said and attributed it to me; I didn’t say that. So, do I agree with everything that that guy said, and the way he said it in the article? No. But he gives a lot of statistics on the results of the health and mental and physical health of the lifestyle and what it causes.”

He also said the article that he does not agree with yet posted and refuses to apologize for could help party members — some of whom are eager to drop the homophobia platform — strengthen their beliefs against gay marriage. “Now’s the time to discuss it, that’s why I brought it up,” Agema said. “Say, ‘oh, you’re dividing the party,’ no, I don’t think so; we’re standing on the principle of the party. If the party doesn’t stand on its principle, we’ll lose our base.”

And what a shame to lose anyone who thinks that “because homosexuals can’t reproduce naturally, they resort to recruiting children.”
