Meet Bo Obama's New Little Sister, Sunny

Yes, Sunny Obama. Which is the best name. (Uh oh, is Bo already living in the shadow of the new kid??)

The White House says:

Sunny was born in Michigan in June 2012, and arrived at the White House today. Just like Bo, she’s a Portuguese Water Dog, which works great for the Obamas because of allergies in their family.

Sunny is the perfect little sister for Bo – full of energy and very affectionate – and the First Family picked her name because it fit her cheerful personality.

And the FLOTUS is already tweeting up a storm:

Welcome, Sunny! I already love you because I grew up with a poodle named Sunny, who was allergy-friendly and also rescued, but hey, who can get too preachy on such a delightful occasion. Awesomely, the Obamas are making a donation to the Washington Humane Society in Sunny’s honor. Finally: Bo, good luck with your new sis — if you ever want to talk strategies for dealing with younger siblings, I’m sure you can hit up Malia for advice.
