Martha Stewart Frying Pans Are Targeting Unsuspecting Gourmands

Beware of Martha Stewart frying pans.

Macy’s has recalled Martha Stewart-brand frying pans after customers reported being the target of metal discs that popped off and attacked them, apparently unprovoked. According to BuzzFeed, seven people have reported being the victims of this senseless crime, with injuries ranging from bruises to welts and burns.

Accordingly, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that owners of frying pans, part of a 10-piece set, “should immediately stop using the 8 and 10-inch frying pans from the cookware set.” If you purchased the set to compliment your French country kitchen (with just a hint of modern), you can return it to Macy’s for a full refund.

A Macy’s spokesperson told BuzzFeed that the recall was, “voluntary based on information provided by Macy’s to the CPSC as a precaution for the safety of our customers.”

Let us say a silent prayer for the suburban moms who know all about quinoa and kale and are feeling infinitely betrayed by their Martha Stewart frying pans today.
