Mark Sanford Awkwardly Addresses Mistress Scandal In New Ad

Mark Sanford tackles his Argentine-mistress scandal head on in a new ad — and, no, it’s not for Ashley Madison.

“I’ve experienced how none of us go through life without mistakes. But in their wake we can learn a lot about grace, a God of second chances and be the better for it,” the former governor of South Carolina says in his first television ad for the 1st District congressional race. He then “humbly” asks for votes. Can’t blame a guy (who used taxpayer money to run away to South America to hang out with his gf) for trying! At least he’s completely let the Appalachian Trail excuse go?
