16-year-old BreAnna Helsel was at home in Blanchard, Michigan when thunderstorms rolled through the area, reports CBS News. She noticed that the kitchen window was open, and that rain was coming in, so she went to close the window. As she did, lightning came through and struck BreAnna; she felt electricity pass through her body. "It felt like when your foot falls asleep," she says. BreAnna has darkened fingertips on her right hand and a shaking arm from damaged muscles that will require some therapy, but she's expected to fully recover.
